On Friday, September 23, a local disabilities rehabilitation program and its clients will be enjoying a night of magic and wonder. The first annual T.E.A.M Abilities prom will be held at Spring Creek Greenway Community Room located at 1300 Riley Fuzzel Road from 7:00 to 10:00 p.m., thanks to the support of many local community partners.
Masquerade: A Night to Wonder tickets are $25 per adult, $10 for Children 5-12. For those interested in attending, the deadline has been extended. RSVP by September 21 to Jennifer Hernandez at 832-965-5549 or Jennifer@teamabilitiesinc.com.
“The response has been amazing and the support of the parents and the community overwhelming. They have, without hesitation, opened their resources up to us to help pull off such a grand event. For that, we are truly grateful,” said Jennifer Hernandez, Executive Assistant at T.E.A.M Abilities Inc., a provider for individuals with developmental disabilities with facilities in Houston and The Woodlands. Community support includes Gigi Cupcakes, which is donating 150 cupcakes, Olive Garden, which is donating an Italian feast, MW Cleaners, which is cleaning and altering all of the dresses and pressing all of the men’s suits, Giving Gown Foundation, which is donating all of the dresses for the girls, MaK’s Shuttle and Car Services, which is providing a party bus, Concierge Extraordinaire, which is providing a limousine, Beyond Fringe, a Paul Mitchell Focus Salon, which will be doing all the ladies’ hair, make-up and nails, Barber AJ Phillips doing all the men’s haircuts and styles, and DJ Johnny Quest providing music.
With the night almost upon them, the high spirits are everywhere. Hernandez said, “Everyone is so excited. It’s all they can talk about. They have been working very hard for the last week on their own masquerade masks and can’t wait to show them off.”
